Thanks, Everyone!

The Mississippi Street Fair yesterday was great!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by my booth. I was gratified by casual waves in our direction saying, “There’s some cute stuff.” And by the handful of people who approached our booth with their mouths literally agape saying, “I love your art!” And the hundreds of people who strolled by and paused to look at the bright colors and show their appreciation. Even just by looking.

I learned a lot about what people liked and what they responded to. Some of our expectations were correct, but a few things surprised us. We looked at the pricing of other paintings on the street to see where we fit in. We had friends return after walking the whole fair to tell us there was nothing else on the street that looked like ours.

I want to thank our good friend Cynthia who allowed me to display her gorgeous hand made greeting cards. And my sister who contributed some of her funky beaded jewelry. And Dave’s sister, mom and niece who minded the store so we could go get some food!

Thanks to my friends and family who have been fantastically supportive and enthusiastic.

There were oceans of people there. Thousands and thousands. It was amazing to watch all the strollers and babies and dogs and people go by. It was fantastic for people watching.

And big, huge thanks to my wonderful boyfriend Dave, who has been endlessly supportive and wonderful. And also, he’s good at lifting heavy objects.

I couldn’t do it without him.
